Newark has schools that have many empty seats and new schools are being built. How does this utilization rate account for towns where many children are in private or charter schools. One third of Newark children attend charter schools. Some areas have overcrowded schools and other areas have underutilized buildings. Also many NJ towns have resisted building affordable homes and have not invested in infrastructure. They argue they can’t build more housing because the infrastructure can’t support more families. So the argument becomes circular.

Wow. Powerful information. Check the permits, of course! What excellent information. None of us should be trusting political speeches any more but information like this is priceless. Thank you, but now, what do we do with it since so much damage is done already?
